Stree 2 box office collection day 1 early report: Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao break Shah Rukh’s 11-year record, grosses 7 times more than Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein The trade is expecting Stree 2 to take an opening of Rs 40 cr and Actors Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao fronted horror comedy Stree 2 is already breaking records from day one of its release. The film, which released in cinemas on August 15 , is off to a flying start at the box office, lodging itself in the list of one of the best advance bookings of all times. A day before its all-India release on Thursday, Stree 2 held select paid previews 9.30 PM onwards, which recorded bumper response, setting a new benchmark at the box office. The horror comedy broke the long-standing paid preview record of Shah Ruk Khan’s Chennai Express, which had earned Rs 6.75 cr nett in 2013.
